Island Still

Island Still

The brief was clear: a windswept, frost-prone site, and a home that called for the feeling of an island retreat.

Reflection pools run the length of the property, their stillness interrupted only by fire bowls that glow at dusk and cast warm light across the water. Fan palms, Kentia palms, sago palms, and bromeliads build the tropical canopy in layers, each variety chosen for both beauty and resilience. Structured box hedging holds it all together — a crisp, architectural counterpoint that stops lush from becoming unruly.

As the light fades, the garden transforms completely. This is a place designed for every hour of the day.
