Bushland Retreat

Bushland Retreat

A Coatesville site backed by native bush sets its own terms — and the design worked with them rather than against them.

Manicured hedging and structured garden rooms provide the formal layer closest to the house, giving the space order and usability without disconnecting it from its surroundings. Moving outward, the planting softens and loosens, native species bridging the transition between cultivated garden and the bush beyond. Reflective water features and a pool pavilion sit at the centre of the design, drawing light and stillness into the space. Pathways connect each area at a pace that encourages you to slow down.

A garden that knows exactly where it is — and makes the most of it.
